Do What You Can, When & Where You Are, With What You Have

I don't have a big yard anymore. And I don't have a big garden anymore. But I do grow a lot of stuff in a very small space. I think I do pretty good with it. I work it year round, but more so in the spring. On Sunday's, I usually sift a little soil from a compost pile. That's what the picture is. I made this contraption about three years ago. I call it my Shamgar Soil Sifter.

Shamgar Was A Judge

In the old testament. He is one of my favorite characters. Shamgar got in a fight with a bunch of guys from another country. I honestly don't remember the number. I think it was about 600. He fought them using nothing but an oxgoad. He whipped them all. But that's not why I like the story so much.

He Didn't Look For Anything Special

He just used what he had. And he didn't 'wait' for others to join or help him. He just started right where he was. If he would have acted in any other way, the outcome would have been different. I think it's because he 'saw' that. Maybe a vision or something.

That's Why I'm Doing The "One Thing" Daily Now

And you should too. Just pick out something you're going to get done. Tell others about it, and then go do it. Don't wait for all the starts to be in align. They never will be. If it's personal, then tell someone special. If it's about business, tell someone you trust in business. And it doesn't have to be a large step. Any step will do.  Just do what you can, when you can, where you are, and with what you have.

And This Is What I'm Focusing ON

Sifting the soil. With a hand made soil sifter. It may not be pretty, but at the time...it was all I had. And it's served me well for a few years. I've not had to do much repair on it. And below are the results from last year.
