Introducing "The S.T.A.N. Plan"

The Meaning of CTW

What is CTW
If you read any of my stuff, then you know that I use the expression "Let's Do This Thing! CTW!" It's sort of like a tag line thing.  It helps keep me motivated and it also says I'm a person that wants to get things done.  It's also the very same expression I used back in the 70's and 80's as the National Manager of a chain of retail stores.

Let's Do This Thing!

When I walked into a store and said 'Let's Do This Thing" I could tell whether or not the store manager was paying attention to my memos.  I could also tell if they were a motivated person themselves. After all, the only way to 'Do This Thing" is to get up off your duff and get after it. CTW isn't quite as obvious. And it's not supposed to be.

The Rest Of The Story

A lot of people have tried to figure it out. The truth is they are putting too much effort into it.  CTW means different things to different people. It means different things on different days. Here are the most common things people believe it means.

  • CTW = Change The World
  • CTW = Challenge The World
  • CTW = Christ The Way
  • CTW = Christians That Worship
  • CTW = Concentrate To Win
  • CTW = Carry That Weight

Personally, I'd say that Change or Challenge The World is what it represents half the time. But you'd be surprised how many times I use it hoping that someone like +Cat Wearring  will see it and think Cat's The Winner!!!  I like the idea of it meaning something personal to people.  I want others to be motivated.  I guess you could say I like to give them Cause To Wonder? :-).  Thanks for reading!
